Cirrus Logic !!! (programming)

I have so good svga-card as CIRRUS LOGIC (some model) and I am very interested to get know where I would get information about where ports I have to write and what when I am using my card. I have tried to find this information from cirrus homepage but havent found. (www.cirrus.com) So if enybody have any information about programming cirrus cards please send it to me or tell me where I can get it. (example changing svga bank by writing in ports etc...) Or if anybody know any ports what are used by vesa compatible cards they would also help me ...

THANKS

  • Why would you want to write programs for SPECIFIC

svga cards? Doesn't it make more sense to write

    for VESA compatible cards?

  • You can't use the hardware acceleration available from VESA.

Even the most primitive SVGA offers some 2D accelerator features.

I'm sorry on this one, but I really don't have any data... I've

never owned or encountered (in programming) a Cirrus card.

  • I've heard of the VESA VBE/AF (Accelerator

Functions) standard, but never found much info

on it. Does anyone know about it?

  • This Cirrus card IS vesa compatible so if you know ports where I can write and read to handle this card (vesa cards) please tell me. But THE MAIN THING is that I need to handle vesa cards whit out calling any interrupts !! This could be done by writing and reading siome ports put I dont know these ports ??? so if you have any spec or docs please send them or tell me where I can get them ....

  • Here is some usefull docs:
