Stupid about member function pointers

HickoryHickory Member Posts: 56
I'm sure I'm missing something obvious, but I cant seem to get a pointer from class X to point to a function of class Y. Could someone give me a basic example? I've been searching everywhere with no luck! It also seems that I cant have a global pointer to a public member of some class... why?

Thanks for helping me stop pulling my hair out.

The C++ FAQ (third link in my signature) has an entire section about this very subject.

The FAQ will help stop that very thing :).
