    The easiest way is to use a for-do loop, which runs for a long time, but does nothing. This however will not take into account the processor speed.
    The best way is to use a function, which reports the time (see GetTime) and use a while-do loop to wait. This however uses the (Win)Dos unit. You could circumvent this by writing your own GetTime function.
