how to make a VB http request to a php script and receive data?

dimension11dimension11 Member Posts: 5
hello, I am trying to write a small VB program to make an http request from my computer to a script file on my site, for example:

http://www.mysite.com/script.php?user=me

And then receiving the output from the request, which will be pure text to an array or a variable of some sort.

Is this possible? I have been looking around, but i have only find methods for retrieving files. Is it the same thing? anybody have any hints or tips? thanks in advance. :)

    You could use the Inet control in VB.
somestring=Inet1.Open("http://www.mysite.com/script.php?user=me",icString)
