    If explicit path names are specified as part of the file name identifier, only those directories are searched for the included file:

    #include "D:\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\Include\file.h"

    Otherwise, if the file name is enclosed in quotes, first the current working directory is searched. If the file is not found, the standard directories are searched:

    #include "file.h"

    If no explicit path names are specified and the file name is enclosed by angle brackets, the file is searched for in the standard directories. At no time is the current working directory searched:
