DSL won't work

A long while ago, I asked how to do grahics in C++ in the simplest way,
and people recommende DSL. I put everything in the correct folders /
libraries (ex: system32), but when I compiled a blank .cpp that had
included the DSL file(s), I got "ACCESS DENIED" in the compiler window.
What the heck does that mean / what do I do (windows 95)?

I don't know. What compiler are you using? What the heck is DSL, do you mean SDL? Is ACCESS DENIED all your compiler said, what was the WHOLE message, and what were the circumstances? What has your "blank" .cpp file?
