socket libraries

i am used to doing socket programing for unix, where can i find the libraries for socket programming in linux. Or should i say what are the differences between the two libraries.

    Well, AFAIK it depends on what Unix in particular have you been programming for. Unices come in two flavours: BSD (like FreeBSD) and System V (like Linux) and OS'es of one brand are slightly less different. Generaly I should reccomend typing 'info libc' or 'info glibc' or just 'info' and then looking for information. At least in Red Hat 6.0 I could find anything I needed about standard library.
