adding root previlages to other user

hi
how can i add adminstrator previlages to some user
i'm using REDHAT7.2 .

i added the user to root group , but it's not working..
can anybody provide a solution for it ?

    at the command prompt, as root, type in the command linuxconf

    go into the user accounts section, normal accounts, user accounts

    select the account you wish to modify

    change the selection for "superuser equivilance"

    This should do the trick. There will probably be a method for this in the GUI version of linuxconf as well.

    set the user id to 0 :-)

    : set the user id to 0 :-)

    type first "useradd user" and "passwd user".
    After that, type "vi /etc/passwd" and go to the line "user", it will look something like this:

    user:x:500:500::/home/user:/bin/bash

    now see the 500:500 the first one is user id (uid). Now set that to 0, and the other one as well to 0. The other one is the number of gropus the user is member in.
