windows programming?

EdgarEdgar Member Posts: 1

Hi, can someone please help me?. I just got into computers after
practically not having touched one in 10 years.
Ten years ago, I took some programming courses, pascal, basic and
cobol. My question, "what language is windows programmed on?"
and where can I find tutorials on it.
Thank you.

[blue]Most of Windows is done using plain old "C". Some parts with interfaces and OLE are C++. No doubt, some core functionality where you need speed is done in ASM.

Best book to start with if you going into Window is "Programming Windows" by Charles Petzold.[/blue]
