404 Error

Is there a way to use VBScript/ASP to put a custom error message in place of a windows IE error? For instance if you have a link to another server on a web page, and the server is down, you get a action canceled error. Instead of the action canceled being displayed can I display a custom message?

Some articles in MSDN explain well how to do this; for instance "Creating Custom ASP Error Pages" (Q224070).
