Reading Data from COM port

I have to read data that is coming to my com port2 and I have to put it into a database file.

My operating system is Windows 3.1 Does anyone know how to do this?

  • You will have to get the port address from the BIOS memory... If I'm correct you will need to read 0000:0402 and the value found there (2 bytes = 1 word) should be the port address of the Com2 port.

BTW Win3.1 is no OS... It runs under DOS!
