    Not portable
At first can seem hard to learn (but you wouldn't expect that german or french would be easy to learn now would you) but once you get the hang of it you can do alot with it
and the obviouse one MADE BY MICROSOFT

i know others will have other reason but these are the main reasons i didn't want to start learning it at first but know that i know it i love it

I've been working with VB for a year now, although i still don't know it very well. I think it is one of the easier languages to learn; Compared to C++ it is alot easier. But it's not good for makeing games, C is better for that. I don't see too many disadvantages at all, i like it!
