howdy,
my box: RH 7.2 kernel 2.4.7-10 printer: HP T45xi.
i had a duplicate inode problem during a boot, after fixing it i can get no response from my printer. i receive error messages like "make sure LPD is running on network server" i have tryed reconfiguring the printer with the same result.
what is my next step.

thanks

It may be as simple as having to restart the lp daemon. I believe you can get directions to do it by going to your man pages (something like man lp or man lpd). Sounds also like you have configured for a network printer, is this correct or is it a local printer that you are using?

How could this be a problem in a country where we have Intel and Microsoft?

    howdy,
it may be configured as a network printer however this is a stand alone system
    in my home office.
ill check the man pages to see if i can figure anything out.
can you tell me how to restart lpd?
    Thanks
