data smoothing!

DEAR READER,

I would be grateful if you could provide me a link, a library, or a model
dealing with data smoothing of a serie of data acquisition.

======> THE PROBLEM: I get a dat acquisition table in *.txt format; 4
entries,
the first one being time (in 1/3 second) and the third column variable of data
of interest! ( actually, as a first step we need to act a "data
smoothing" of
the values of this third column in ( C++,...other software), as all the packages available cannot be
reliable until now for a correct data smoothing. Note: all these values are
positives, flat for a first part, then decreasing to a plateau and then a
recovery, versus time.

Also, the first 4 lines must be erased as they contain only characters as " reset "......."stopped"........

I thank you for any help or suggestion that you could provide.

Sincerely,

To find more links, enter "data smoothing" in a search engine. It would help to know what type of data it was. What is it you're trying to do?

    Dear Sir,

    well,

Here is my e-mail: [email protected]

I can send you a typical exchange.

It is in fact a several columns of data and the data smoothing concerns only one column!
Even by using Mathematica it is not so obvious as some I need to treat these data in an exe file from the data acquisition in *.dat format and excel cannot be used. All the values are positives, increasing, and sometimes at a random frequency you have a jump of more than 25 %, thus a kind of noise leading to an extreme difficult treatment for a fitting as some parameters have to be evaluated.

I will have a look on your suggestions.

    Sincerely

    THIERRYPP
