Importing, exporting XML file to ADO recordset

I seem to have some problems with the XML support of ADO
2.6. It's very easy to export a recordset to an xml file.
With : rsXMLtest.Save "C:XMLtest.xml", adPersistXML
Where: Dim rsXMLtest As ADODB.Recordset
This works very nicely. However when I try to load the xml
file into a recordset with:

rsXMLimport.Open "C:XMLtest.xml", "Provider=MSPersist;",
adOpenStatic, adLockBatchOptimistic, adCmdFile

This also works as long as fields of character strings are
empty. If there is data in a stringformat field I get the
following error message:

"Multiple-step operation generated errors. Check each
status value."

I'm desperately trying to solve this problem, but I can't
find any information regarding this issue.

Can anybody please help me?
